I am sure there is going to be great hue and cry in the coming months about who should captain India (Code name : MIB). I think Ganguly has had his share of time at the helm, and it’s time to find a new leader. I got an interesting forward on Ganguly and his “purple patch”.
India is playing a keenly fought series against Pakistan, and there is a phone call for Ganguly in the dressing room.

And for those who did not follow Ganguly’s career over the last 2 years, it simply means that he has hardly spent any time in the crease, and his last hundred came way back in 2003. And the team selection sucks so much that I don’t even have words for it. Kumble dropped from the team !! Excuse me, he scored more runs than the skipper and taught a lesson or two about batting to his much senior famed batsmen at Bangalore. I could go on and on about this, but I need to write my thesis too …….

Agree with u. Ganguly has not only had enuf at the helm, hes had enuf of letting teh team down too. Time he got to Bengal and re learnt his tricks.
As for Kumble - i wud not want to comment on his batting and compare that to Ganguly, but yes Kumble shd not have been dropped.
ganguly sadly reminds us of azza in the 96-99 season when he hung around and denied more useful players of their opportunites.In the right interest ganguly shud get back to domestics get to form and make a comeback.As for the odis I feel he shud still be given a bit more fair run.
ok I think kumble being dropped from odis is a good thing, his last 10 matches have an economy of 5.2 a bowling average of 55 and a grand total of 8 wickets.That is nowhere near the greatness that we knew him.however what smacks me most is bringing Dinesh Mongia in place of laxman.Laxman is really made the scapegoat everyime and i feel sorry for him.Dinesh Mongia is probably one guy who always will have potential but will practically be impotent a la agarkar.If I had to make a take on this ODI series I am going for man of series being afridi and pak taking the series 5-1.one they wud lose bcoz some umpire wud do a bucknor*
